DESTINATION -Thailand viewfinder target tourism
Thai government has taken steps in the effort to build a new tourism industry in this country. Has been reported that tourism for the country as a whole on the lowest level for 20 years.
Recession in the world that has not help falling for a number of Southeast Asian and Thai baht continues to remain strong against the dollar and pound. Talk of civil unrest in the southern part of the country and also the international airport in Bangkok was closed by protesters last year, supporting the ousted former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, who also have impact.
Thailand this year the government free visa fees for tourists to 4 June and then followed that up in front of a larger push to encourage more tourists, although this plan not welcomed by many Thai consulate in the world who depend on tourist visa to keep operating costs them.
The government also looks to offer credit-based small business travelers.
