Getting there »There are three entrance garden. Kolob Canyons can be accomplished with the drive to the south of Cedar City and take exit 40 in the inter-15. South Entrance to reach when driving south from Salt Lake City, take Exit 27 and drive to Utah Highway 17 to Utah Highway 9. When driving north from St. George or Las Vegas, take Exit 16 and stay on Utah Highway 9. Sign in to East, take Utah Highway off U.S. 9 / 89, 17 miles north of Kanab.

Places to stay »There are lodgings in the park at the Zion Lodge and two park service campgrounds. Springdale city features a variety of public and private campgrounds Motels, lodges and bed and breakfasts. There are also Motels in Mt. Caramel Junction east near the entrance to the park. Near the largest city is St. George, Cedar City, Hurricane and Kanab, all of which offer several lodging options.

Main Zion Canyon Visitor Center on the south side of the door is open during the summer of backcountry open 8-8 tables are 7-6 this visitor center has exhibits and three-dimensional model of Zion Canyon. Weather »Temperatures vary with altitude, and day and night can vary as much as 30 degrees. Spring tends to be stormy and wet mixed with the warm, sunny weather. Hot summer days, usually in 95 to 110 degree range throughout the day, but fun (65 to 70 degrees) at night. Afternoon thunderstorms are common from mid-July to mid-September, often produce flash floods and waterfalls. In the fall, days are usually clear and mild and nights can be cool. Autumn leaf color peak in late October. Winters tend to be mild, with light and heavy snow may be snow on the elevations. Clear day highs can reach 60 degrees at night often drop to 30.

Park drive »Zion Canyon is closed to car traffic from April through November, except if you live in the Zion Lodge. But three drives in the park remain open during the summer. The most popular walk 10 miles in the Zion-Mt. Caramel Highway between the south and east and including the entry and increase the steep switchbacks through the historic tunnel to checkers Mesa. One stop at six locations in Springdale and drops visitors at the Zion Visitor Center. Shuttle loop that started in another Zion Visitor Center and make eight stops in the canyon. Shuttles run frequently and freely.
