On 17 June 2009, Senator Roland W. Burris makes cosponsored the bill to promote the tourism industry in the United States attract international tourists visited the country to the United States. I think we should give the city and every person the opportunity to appear on the world tourism stage."

While the Corporation for Travel Promotion'll have a budget of about $ 200 million, with the Travel Act does not require a campaign contribution to American taxpayers. Conversely, laws that will be paid by the private sector contribution and the cost of U.S. $ 10 on tourists from foreign countries that do not currently pay for a visa to enter the United States.
