Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival (July 31 - August 9)

This annual event provides top quality performers in venues around the city. There are about 100 concerts during the ten days of activities and day sessions, you can also look forward to barbecues and a full program of free outdoor events.

Edinburgh Fringe Festival (August 7 - August 31)

While the official Edinburgh International Festival concentrates on what you want to call "high art," the famous Edinburgh Fringe Festival more eclectic.

Festival offers more than 130 exhibitions and events which include a selection of works from local and international art.

Edinburgh Military Tattoo - (7 August - 29 August)

Tattoo is the main event of the Edinburgh Festival. You may have seen this before on television but not to see a comparison of the living. Watch Castle changed from red to blue to green ...., And at that time alone piper play 'Amazing Grace' from the top of Edinburgh Castle, it send shivers down your spine!

Edinburgh International Festival (August 14 - Sep 6)

Lovers of classical music, theater, opera and dance performances will love this three-day festival, one of the most important cultural festivals in the world. Festival was established in 1947 "to provide a platform for the flowering of the human spirit" after the devastation of World War II and only in accordance with the needs in this world.

Edinburgh International Book Festival (August 15 - August 31)

At the Edinburgh International Book Festival is the Festival of Books, with more than 700 world-class writers and thinkers to take part in more than 800 activities. What's great about this festival is that everything in the Book Festival takes place in one central location - you do not need to run all over town to see what is offered. A magical tented village is being created in the City of New beautiful square, creating a unique festival environment.
