The bay of Cabo San Lucas, on the southern tip of Baja, was once the basis for pirate ships waiting to pounce on Spanish treasure ships. Even fifteen years ago, it was little more than a fishing and canning village occasionally visited by adventurous sports fishermen with the tools to sail or fly in the bottom, but a quick reputation for Marlin can be caught here, and once - quiet place found itself inundated with fishermen in the search for El Marlin Azul, home neat, radar-equipped fishing yachts.

In the last few years, he quickly became the focus point of Los Cabos: million-dollar Condos have emerged, the hands have been transplanted, golf courses have been laid, water has been piped from the San José and stored everywhere is pure. As an enclave of more than U.S. part of Mexico, preserving almost no not referred to tourism, it can be fun for a day or two, except, of course, you want to fish or dive. Although the price is higher than in neighboring San José, there are some party atmosphere, with the young crowd. There are currently some 3000 rooms for rent, and 10,000 is the local feeling that is the next feasible "goal" that would equate the city with long established resorts such as Mazatlan or Acapulco. Including the future development of the mall will consist of a convention center, theater complex, a bowling, a large parking Condos and outlets, and even have plans for an artificial island to sit in the bay, complete with restaurant and bar.
