DESTINATION -Indonesia will promote the tourism potentials to the international community by participating in the activities of PATA Travel Mart 2009 in Hangzhou, China.

Director of Foreign Promotion Marketing Department Directorate of Culture and Tourism (Depbudpar) I Gde Pitana in a statement here on Monday, said, activities PATA Travel Mart 2009 in China will last 22 to 25 September 2009.

Apart from the Depbudpar delegates, representatives from a number of local government and associations / tourism industry in Indonesia will berparisipasi in these activities.

Activities conducted during the PATA Travel Mart in 2009 among other information services and distribution of promotional material in Indonesian pavilion, table top (sellers meet buyers), and attended several court-related development of tourist destinations.

PATA Travel Mart is an activity organized by the Asia Pacific Tourism Association (PATA) to promote tourism from around 50 member states.

Activities PATA Travel Mart 2009 held in the capital of Zhejiang Province of China begins with the Fifth Conference of the United Nations Tourism Organization (UNWTO), which takes the theme of "Weathering the Storm of Global Recession: The Challenge for Destination Management".

Indonesia has become a host PATA Travel Mart in 1985, 1989, and 2007 is in Bali.

In 2005, these activities take place in Kuala Lumpur and in 2006 in Hong Kong.
