"One of our macro strategy for tourism next year is to more use of online transactions," said Director General of Marketing Department of Culture and Tourism, Sapta Nirwandar, in Jakarta on Wednesday.

He said, it is one effort to focus on "horizontal marketing" (marketing horizontal).


His form, according to Seven, is the use of electronic transactions (e-transaction) in the tourism sector in the country.

"It must be supported by an integrated marketing communications," he said.

It also uses other macro strategies that facilitate the implementation of "consumer show" or "direct selling" to a number of countries.

"We will also do famtrip for journalists, leaders, and celebrities," he said.

The focus of tourism marketing next year, especially for thematic products, it emphasizes the spa tourism, diving, and golf.

As for new products outside of natural and cultural tourism is the tourism services, religious tourism, and "green tourism".

"To support the tourism sector, we will also push a stimulus or incentive system," he said.

In the period January-August 2009, the number of foreign tourists visiting Indonesia reached 4.12 million for the 15 focus countries markets.

Optimistic his side's visit this year's target of 6.4 million people set to be achieved and even exceeded.

Next year, plans to raise the target Depbudpar foreign tourists to visit the 7 million visitors to close the year 2010.

Sapta said, Indonesia has become one of the few countries in the Asia Pacific tourism sector to grow positively. In general, the tourism sector in the world since 2008 experienced slowing growth even negative in many countries in the world.

Recorded in 2008 Indonesia tourism grew 13.24 percent. In this year, the number of foreign tourists coming to Indonesia to reach more than 6.4 million people with a foreign exchange gain of 7.57 million U.S. dollars.
