DESTINATION -Expedition team from the Agency Archaeological Sriwijaya Palembang do research on sites in the Limestone City Bangka, Bangka Belitung province, to be developed and preserved.

He said the location of Limestone City is very strategic in Bangka Strait and commercial activity developed enough so carefully guarded by the Kingdom.

He added, in addition to doing research on Lime City, the expedition team which numbered as many as 34 people will also do research on historical relic sites under water.

Meanwhile, researchers from the Archaeological Research Center for National Archaeological Development, Bambang Budi Utomo, said the estimated Lime City existed long before the establishment of the kingdom of Srivijaya.
